We started with a blank sheet of paper and an idea, to create a brand that is straight talking and empowering with the best Ayurvedic ingredients.
Inspired by Indian Heritage and a strong belief of individuality, we wanted to bring ancestral skincare wisdom into the 21st century through a series of gender-neutral products, after all skin is skin.
With a global outlook, we created The Raw Vedic to look after our skin, protect the planet and empower vulnerable women and children around the world.
THE FACES BEHIND THE BRAND
Since moving to Australia from the UK, we knew what worked for our skin and we couldn’t find it anywhere. We ended up so confused with what was out there that we decided we had to do this ourselves and in a way that was clear and simple.
Ayurveda. Transparency. Empowerment. Sustainability.
These were the first four words on our blank sheet of paper and have come to life through The Raw Vedic.
We set out to disrupt the skincare industry by creating a brand that is down to earth, understands people’s concerns and inspires them to be the best version of themselves. We don’t spend time on mass photo editing instead we focus our attention on formulating the best products and using real people who share the same values and ethics to create a community where everyone is welcome, the lifestyle is flexible, and the products promote confident, healthy glowing skin.
As a British Indian brought up in the North of England, I was lucky enough to be immersed in Indian traditions by my grandmother who passionately taught me that ‘raw felt right’. From a young age, I would watch her in awe as she applied her homemade Turmeric face mask, lathered her locks with Amla oil and moisturised her flawless skin with a saffron infused face cream. When I was old enough to, I followed her lead with a simple but effective Ayurvedic skincare regime, a regime I swear by to this day.”

The Raw Vedic is more than just a brand to us, it’s a reflection of our ancestry, who we are now and everything in between. Whether it’s our Indian roots through the ingredients we use, our European upbringing to be vibrant and bold, or our exposure to nature in Australia driving our sustainability agenda, every element of The Raw Vedic is personal to me and Rupa. We’ve lived and breathed it, now we want to share it.”
